Does my hair have to be trimmed before the Artas® procedure?
Yes, your hair has to be cut down to 1mm.
Is the result of the Artas® method permanent?
Yes, the result is permanent, because the hair is extracted from the back of the head. This area normally is not sensible to hormonal changes and won’t fall out.
Will I experience pain after the Artas® procedure?
Normally you won’t have any pain after the Artas® procedure, because it is done with a local anesthetic. In some cases you will have minimal swellings, which will be gone after 1-3 days.
Will I have visible scars after the procedure?
Since cutting is not necessary with this procedure, no visible scar remains at the point of the incision and not like in FUT where a linear scar remains. No plugs and no stitches remain with this minimal invasive procedure.
How long does the Artas® procedure take?
The procedure of hair restoration depends on the amount of hair follicles which are transplanted. Usually it will take 4-8 hours. In some cases with more that 3000 grafts the procedure can be split into two days.
